The women of Calvary Baptist lovingly encourage one another to allow God to work through us to complete His work in us.

  • Women's Retreat

    Ladies—please mark your calendars for a retreat featuring guest speaker Tina Chambers Smith. The retreat will be held in the Calvary Student Theater Friday evening and Saturday. There will also be a special session for mothers and expectant mothers on Sunday, Sept. 29 during the 9:00 a.m. hour.


    Ephesians 6 tells us that our battle isn’t “against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” What does it take to fight this battle? Can we truly be victorious warriors as we walk in this life? Join Tina Smith, Director and Founder of “Raising Kids on Your Knees,” as she teaches us how to walk in the freedom and victory Christ has given each of us through His death on the cross equipping us with everything we need to walk a victorious Christian life in Him.

  • Small Groups & Discipleship Groups

    The Women of Calvary are devoted to studying the Word of God. We offer various studies throughout the year. Details on the current studies may be found on the SMALL GROUPS page. 

  • Women's Coffee & Prayer

    Ladies are invited to coffee & prayer hour on the third Saturday of every month, at 9:00 am.  Women will visit different coffee shops in the area while enjoying fellowship.

  • MomCo (formerly MOPs)

    MomCo encourages and equips mothers of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women, and leaders in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church. MomCo is designed for women with young children (from infancy through kindergarten). Yankton MomCo meets two Thursdays of each month from 9:00-11:00 am, September through April, at Calvary. Childcare is available.


    A MomCo meeting includes practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations, or videos, followed by small group discussions and occasional creative activities and service projects. We will enjoy a hot breakfast and coffee at each meeting as well.  

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry

    MONTHLY: Third Tuesday of every month, 6:30 pm

    Our Prayer Shawl Ministry provides shawls for those who are hurting — grieving the loss of a loved one, experiencing a prolonged illness, or going through a difficult time in life. Prayers are said for the person who will receive the shawl as it is made and when it is complete. When the shawl is presented, the group prays with the recipient.

     

  • Hands of Dorcas Quilting

    MONTHLY:  Watch calendar as times vary
    Ladies gather for a time of cutting and sewing. Quilts are made and then distributed in our community as the need arises. Some of our quilts also go to the Pine Ridge Reservation. 

  • Friendship Through Cards

    MONTHLY:  Fourth Tuesday of every month, 6:30 pm

    Ladies enjoy fellowship as we create beautiful handmade cards. No experience necessary to join in the fun! We create cards for our card ministry and ladies also have cards to take home for personal use.
